On 25 January 2021 the CAA published its new policy on Minimum Standards for Noise Modelling

In order to carry out certain of its regulatory duties, the CAA requires stakeholders (usually airports) to provide it with outputs from noise modelling. The changes CAA has made as a result are explained in an interim consultation response document CAP 1875a Interim Response to CAA Consultation on Minimum Standards for Noise Modelling that they have also published

Following feedback from this consultation CAA decided that the definition of Category D needed to be amended and they are now consulting on the new definition. The consultation on this can be found here
