London City Airport has awarded infrastructure provider blu-3 with a £6m contract to install two Engineered Material Arresting Systems (EMAS).
The systems will further enhance the safety of its airfield operation. In addition, blu-3 will deliver carbon neutral construction for the duration of the project. Its experts will evaluate the predicated carbon impact of the works undertaken and reduce direct emissions through the use of sustainable materials, plant and equipment, as well as supporting offset schemes to mitigate unavoidable emissions.
