Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu, the Union Minister for Civil Aviation, has announced that the Greenfield International Airport at Bhogapuram will be operational six months ahead of the planned construction schedule, providing convenience to the public. He stated that it would be not only one of the best airports in India but also in the world.
According to Rammohan Naidu, the airport construction was originally scheduled to be completed by December 2026.
However, it will now be finished six months earlier and commissioned by June 26, 2025. He expressed happiness over the state cabinet's decision to name the Bhogapuram airport after Alluri Sitarama Raju, a revolutionary figure in India's freedom struggle.
