BAG Annual Review 2021
Looking back…BAG’s Activities!
Last year BAG launched their first online digital BAG Annual Review promoting BAG’s activities in a virtual and interactive way, to highlight month by month what BAG has achieved, including key activities, Special Interest Groups and Regions, and how BAG has successfully engaged with its members throughout a challenging year.
We have recently updated the BAG 2021 Review which highlights all our activity this year from webinars to Special Interest Group and Regional activities as well as our engagement with organisations such as The Future of Aviation Group, the Aviation Export Board and the Department for International Trade. BAG Board Meeting- December 2021
On 3rd December, BAG Board Members held their last board meeting of the year - the 100th BAG Board meeting as a hybrid meeting (in person at the BAG offices in London and virtually). The BAG Board reviewed and discussed BAG Priorities for 2022, the BAG Strategic Framework, wider membership engagement, innovation and the latest activities across all of BAG’s Working Groups. A key topic discussed was around opening up BAG’s Working Groups to the wider membership for active and diverse involvement, to identify how BAG members can get engaged across BAG’s various activities and groups in 2022 and BAG’s inclusive approach to participation in those groups. More details about how to join the BAG Working Groups will be circulated in January 2022. We are looking forward to an exciting year ahead and your active contributions!

Heathrow Opportunity: Logistics Partner sought
Heathrow is exploring how to secure a partner to help prepare a holistic logistics strategy for Heathrow as they move into a post COVID world and because they currently have a disparate approach to this.
Ideally, Heathrow would be looking for a consultant that has a history of setting a strategy for other large scale operational businesses (aviation desirable but not essential) and have the ability to then help Heathrow source suppliers to deliver that strategy and implement. As a minimum, the strategy writing is a must.
If this is of interest to you and your company is interested to explore this opportunity could you please submit your interest ASAP (no later than 14 December 2021) to Bettina Rigg (Bettina.rigg@britishaviationgroup.co.uk) so we can share your contact details with the relevant contacts at Heathrow as they wish to identify potential suitable companies by the end of next week, and potentially ahead a tender process in the new year.

Heathrow Procurement Portal
Theo is Heathrow’s new cloud-based Oracle system which launched in October 2021 as a replacement to our ERP system and other legacy systems.
Its deployment is the culmination of over two years of our colleagues preparing to introduce this new technology into our business and in doing so introduce simpler, consistent processes that will be adopted uniformly across our business. Whilst the new platform is intended to improve our people, finance, procurement, project, asset management and some of our customer related processes, its launch will lead to a change of our ways of working with you as a current or potential supply chain partner to Heathrow.
A series of roadshows have been conducted to prepare our colleagues for this change and the expectation is that similar sessions may be provided to our supply chain community (potentially pre-recorded) in 2022 along with the in-system guided learning modules to assist with how to register on the system, participate in precontract activity and, if successful, to then submit payment, manage contracts and receive payments.
