Would your company like to become a Signatory in this Open Letter to The Chancellor of the Exchequer

The Future of Aviation Group https://www.futureofaviationgroup.org.uk/ of which BAG is a founding member is aiming to demonstrate that businesses affected by aviation stretch beyond the ‘obvious’ candidates and that they all support both a full and financial support package to the whole industry.
As such The Future of Aviation Group is asking businesses to sign the  open letter, with the distinction that airlines, airports, tour operators etc are not being asked to sign the letter -  as its aim is to convey the breadth of businesses effected by the pandemic and the effects of not supporting aviation. For more information and how to get involved please click
here. The deadline for submission is COP Friday 5 February 2021.
International Update – Colombia and Poland
The British Aviation Group held an initial introductory conversation with DIT Colombia and Aeropuerto Del Café Colombia  on Monday 25 January 2021 to present an overview of BAG, the breadth of its membership and the UK offering. We discussed how BAG members could potentially get more involved with the ongoing project and associated opportunities and will provide further updates over the next months.

The British Aviation Group was also invited to attend the Inaugural Intergovernmental Working Group meeting regarding the cooperation in the Solidarity Transport Hub Project Poland which was held on 21 January 2021. The full press statement can be found here.

BAG ACC Virtual Global Business Summit 2021

Recovery and the Climate Challenge
Securing our Licence to Grow
11 February 2021, 16.00-18.00

BAG and ACC traditionally come together once a year to deliver a Global Business Summit. This year we are happy to announce we will be delivering a two hour virtual session featuring a number of high profile speakers from ACI World, IATA and the FAA.
As the aviation industry recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic in the coming years, its global climate footprint will remain a significant challenge. How can airports recover from the pandemic in a responsible way? What are governments and aviation stakeholders doing to address the climate challenge? How can airport development companies assist airports? Join the British Aviation Group and the Airport Consultants Council in Part I of a new virtual Global Business Summit. Part 2 of the BAG ACC Virtual Global Business Summit to follow later in the year.

Our Speakers include:
  • Michael Rossell, Senior Vice President International Relations and Corporate Secretary, ACI World
  • Kevin Welsh, Executive Director, Office of Environment & Energy, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
  • Martin Braun, Assistant Director Airport Development, IATA
