Atkins, a member of the SNC-Lavalin Group, has appointed Richard Hartshorn as professional head of airport master planning, responsible for growing Atkins’ master planning service for the international aviation market. SNC-Lavalin acquired WS Atkins plc on July 3, 2017.
A strategic airport planning professional, Richard has worked at Heathrow Airport for 17 years and has extensive experience in infrastructure strategy development, facility management, project management and stakeholder engagement. In his new role, he will be responsible for driving further growth in the international aviation sector and delivering clients master plans for the airports of the future.
Steve Tasker, aviation market director for SNC-Lavalin's Atkins business, said: "With air passenger numbers set to double over the next 20 years, we are looking to share our airport master planning expertise with clients across the globe.
