ICAO has revealed that airline seating capacity fell by around 50% in 2020 as the number of passengers boarding flights dropped from 4.5 billion in 2019 to just 1.8 billion passengers last year.
That adds up to a staggering financial loss to the industry of around $370 billion, says ICAO, which noted that airports and air navigation services providers lost a further $115 billion and $13 billion, respectively...read here
