The ADS Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) Special Interest Group has released its latest paper, ‘Regional and Rural Air Mobility – Thinking Outside the Urban Box’ diving deeper into the potential for new forms of aircraft to connect rural and regional communities in the UK. WHAT IS THE Advanced AIR MOBILITY GROUP?

ADS Advanced Air Mobility Group is a special Interest group for ADS Members and stakeholders involved in the smaller-vehicle, more autonomous and more electric Air Mobility sector, or looking to break into those emerging markets.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE GROUP?

The Group aims to establish the UK as a world-leading location where Advanced Air Mobility solutions and services are developed and delivered by bringing together the diverse stakeholders that will shape, and offer solutions into new and emerging sectors of aviation such as Urban, Rural and Regional Air Mobility. The group shall focus on attempting to:

  1. Market Strategy Define the UK capability; Demonstrate the UK value-add; And promote the UK offering to the global market.
  2. Ecosystem Development Foster an ecosystem of developers, infrastructure providers, regulators, operators, and investors where collaborative partnerships can be formed. 
  3. Export and BD Understand and make links to global markets, identify use cases to support emerging business cases, and create awareness within relevant stakeholder communities.
  4. Regulatory Maturity Work with the UK CAA to shape a Regulatory Framework, to enable UK products and services to be brought to the global market.
