Data Protection and Privacy Management at U.S. Airports: Guidelines

Airports collect, process, and use large volumes of data from airport users, including personal identification, biometric, and payment information. The methods airports use to manage this data are evolving rapidly as new technologies emerge. As a result, airports must plan and prepare to adequately protect data and individual privacy—or risk violating applicable laws, incurring costly remediation efforts, and losing public trust.
