On December 19, 2024, Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) held a topping out ceremony in the rain to celebrate the final steel piece being raised and welded to the top of four additional floors to add various amenities like an observation tower, lounges and a ramp tower adjunct. This is to prepare SEA not just for the 2026 World Cup of Soccer festivities where SEA expects 750,000 international travelers, but also to ensure good service quality.
