Aviation is a sector undergoing massive and rapid change over the next 25 years as our society makes progress towards net zero, therefore research and development between SMEs, Industry partners and academia are an essential component to achieving our targets.
We are delighted to announce that the Connected Places Catapult is organising a series of consortia building workshops in view of a forthcoming funding opportunity. These activities will take place around the UK to encourage more connections and partnerships in the UK Aerospace Industry, in our efforts to help our way to net zero.
The workshop provides an opportunity for stakeholders to come together and discuss the aforementioned opportunity that will be focus on the following challenge areas:
- Optimisation of energy management Systems
- Energy storage and microgrid solutions
- Zero emission vehicles for airports
- Hydrogen solutions for airports
During the event, you will have the opportunity to hear from subject matter and technical experts, get to know fellow innovators, industry partners and academic experts in your local area, encouraging greater levels of collaboration between different fields. We are particularly interested in engaging with any stakeholders that have access to, or own relevant testing facilities.
We also welcome any stakeholders that have technology that may have been created for other sectors but would like to make headway into the aviation sector.
The workshops will be taking place in London, Coventry, Bristol and Glasgow across May 2024, so please make sure you register for the right location and date for you!
