As it gears-up for the busiest day of the Easter break, the gateway reveals it is busier than ever before in its 77-year history.

Manchester Airport now deals with more passengers than ever before in its 77-year history.

The gateway today broke it all-time record, with 22.32m people having flown in and out of the airport over the past 12 months.

That breaks the previous 12 month record of 22.26m in July 2006 and comes on what is set to be its busiest day of the Easter period.
