Gatwick to launch fund to boost internal UK flights if it wins contest with Heathrow to get an additional runway
Gatwick has stepped up its battle to land the South East’s new runway, offering to create a £20m fund to foster more domestic flights if it wins out over Heathrow.
The two airports are locked in an intense competition to get an additional runway, with each trumpeting the benefits of their own plans.
