Southwest Airlines Nashville airport operations are expanding as the carrier prepares to take over two gates at Nashville International Airport’s satellite concourse.
Southwest will begin using the gates on October 1, 2026, increasing its presence at BNA as the airport continues to handle record passenger demand.
The Nashville airport expansion follows Spirit Airlines’ departure and gives Southwest additional capacity at one of its most important markets.
The Southwest Airlines gate expansion was confirmed during an August 12 meeting of the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority board..
