“German airports” and “good news” don’t typically go in the same sentence. Frankfurt Airport Terminal 3 now home to most airlines
The good news is that over the past several years, construction has taken place on Terminal 3, which is the airport’s brand new terminal. That terminal was inaugurated on April 22, with a phrased opening, which has wrapped up as of today, June 9, 2026. So the move to Terminal 3 is now complete!
Over the past several weeks, we’ve seen all Terminal 2 airlines move to Terminal 3. After all, the new terminal has the capacity for 19 million annual passengers, while the old terminal had the capacity for 15 million annual passengers...
