VINCI Airports has launched a major modernisation project for Lyon-Saint Exupéry Airport. This project is part of a strategic investment programme of over €380 million planned over seven years, led by the shareholders of Aéroports de Lyon and contingent upon the signing of an economic regulation agreement with the French government by spring 2027.
The Terminal 2 project includes a 9,500sqm extension, the modernisation of 12,000sqm of existing space, upgraded security screening, new retail and leisure areas, and an expanded bus station to improve passenger experience and operational efficiency.
Scheduled to open by 2029, the modernised terminal will help Lyon-Saint Exupéry prepare for the 2030 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, accommodate growing seasonal traffic to the French Alps and improve energy efficiency...
