Luton Rising Given Go-Ahead for Airport Growth Plan

Luton Rising has announced that it has officially cleared all required legal processes to deliver its long-term sustainable growth plan to increase the airport’s annual capacity from 19 million passengers to 32 million passengers by the mid-2040s.

The projected growth is expected to create up to 11,000 new jobs whilst generating up to an additional 1.5 billion GBP in annual economic activity, and marks Luton Rising’s position as the UK’s first council-owned company to secure a Development Consent Order in April 2025...
