Egypt plans to almost double the capacity of Cairo International Airport as rising visitor numbers drive demand for more investment in its aviation sector.
A fourth terminal at Cairo airport will increase passenger capacity by 40 million to 70 million when it is completed in four years, Egypt’s civil aviation minister Sameh El-Hefny said.
In October El-Hefny said the construction of a fourth terminal would cost at least $3.5 billion and that it would be funded by the state-owned Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation and its subsidiaries...
