Aena advances the expansion of Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport with the full opening of the new security checkpoint and projects in Terminals T4 and T4S valued at over €146 million
- The Terminal T4 North Apron project has gone out to tender with a budget of €89.97 million and a 35-month execution period.
- Construction work to expand the T4S South Pier—adding three contact stands—involves an investment of €56.5 million and a 24-month execution period.
- The central security checkpoint at Terminal T4 is now fully open, allowing all passengers to keep both liquids and electronic devices in their hand luggage.
- The new checkpoint features a large central area and an adjoining zone dedicated to Fast Track service.
- The total investment for both areas exceeds €10.3 million, excluding inspection equipment.
