With the first round of US-Iran peace talks concluded, attention is shifting to the outlook for aviation for the rest of the summer season.

Any rebound is unlikely to be immediate. Many overseas travellers have already made long-term plans that exclude a return to the region before November at the earliest.

Meanwhile, at least two high-profile carriers, American Airlines and Virgin Atlantic, have indicated that they do not intend to resume services. That is perhaps unsurprising given the performance of those routes even before the conflict...
