Stansted Airport welcomes 2.6m as it records busiest April

Stansted Airport has recorded its busiest April on record, with more than 2.6 million passengers.

The total was an increase of 3.2 per cent on last year, beating the previous high for April set in 2025 by 80,000 passengers.

Traveller numbers were bolstered by the Easter school holidays, with nearly 400,000 flying during the bank holiday weekend...
