$65bn Heathrow airport third runway is under threat from mounting conflict between airport officials and airline operators. The main causes of the tussle is over costs and customer services.

They want a new regulatory regime in which terminals compete to improve services and squeeze costs. They also deem there will be more control for airlines. The simmering divisions are now bubbling over.
