Uzbekistan plans to begin construction of the new Tashkent international airport in June as part of a public-private partnership project, according to statements made by Transport Minister Ilkhom Makhkamov during an interview with the Uzbekistan 24 television channel.
Makhkamov stated that President Shavkat Mirziyoyev had instructed the government to move to the practical implementation stage of the airport project after preparatory procedures were completed.
