Palma Airport is nearing the end of a major overhaul, with the extensive refurbishment expected to be completed later this year after almost four years of phased construction works. The project, which has affected terminals, modules and surrounding areas, is designed to improve passenger flow and speed up airport operations. New security technology is being introduced, while commercial and transit spaces have been redesigned to be larger, brighter and more efficient, with a strong focus on sustainability and modernisation.
With a total investment of €560 million, the works — led by Acciona — are now in their final phase. Efforts are currently centred on completing Module D and the main Processing Building, which connects the airport’s different levels.
