The appointment of a lead architect for the proposed Cape Winelands Airport marks a significant step forward for one of the Western Cape’s most ambitious private infrastructure developments.
Boogertman + Partners has been named as lead architect for the project, which aims to transform the existing airfield into a fully-fledged regional airport.
With an estimated initial investment of between R8bn and R10bn, the first phase will include the construction of a passenger terminal, runway upgrades, and expanded aviation infrastructure.
