All operations at Dubai International Airport (DXB), a major travel hub, will soon be transferred to Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) as part of a significant redevelopment initiative. Currently, DWC is undergoing a colossal £28 billion expansion aimed at transforming it into the world’s largest air travel hub.

The transition will involve relocating all flights and services, including those operated by Emirates and flydubai, from DXB to DWC. Once fully operational, the revamped airport in Dubai World Central is projected to accommodate up to 260 million passengers annually, which would firmly establish it as the largest airport in the world.

The relocation to DWC is anticipated around 2032; however, the entire development is expected to reach completion by 2057...
