Kansai Airports is pleased to announce that the new stores in the international departure area, developed as part of Phase 4 of the Terminal 1 renovation project, are scheduled to open on Tuesday, 2 June 2026.
The T1 renovation has been carried out in phases since 2021 under the core concepts of “enhancing international flight capacity,” “upgrading the airside area,” and “improving the passenger experience.” With major functional upgrades completed in March 2025, Kansai International Airport (KIX) celebrated the grand opening of the renovated Terminal 1, marking a significant evolution toward accommodating future traffic growth.
In the final phase, Phase 4, the newly expanded north–south section of the international departure area—first opened in December 2023—will welcome a total of 24 new stores...
