A timeline of construction work has now been released by Teesside International Airport
A viewing platform to watch planes take to the sky from Teesside has closed as work on offices and a new bar starts.
The area to the right of the Teesside Airport terminal building shut for good on Monday as builders began work on a new “Sky Bar” and platform alongside 1,360 sq ft of office space.
Airport officials say both the Sky Bar and the new platform will be on the site of the existing ageing office space to give people an opportunity to see flights arriving and departing from Teesside.
