THOUSANDS of travellers have been stranded in airports across Britain today after more than 200 flights were grounded when countries blocked UK passengers.
The move comes after Boris Johnson announced stifling new Tier 4 rules in London and south east England after a mutant Covid strain in the areas was found to be up to 70 per cent more infectious.
The decision sparked a UK travel ban from multiple countries in a bid to stop the new strain spreading internationally. Countries including France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Austria, Denmark, Ireland, and Bulgaria all announced restrictions on UK travel today.
