The Committee on Climate Change has published its report on the sixth carbon budget, recommending policies the UK could adopt in order to achieve net zero emissions by 2050. This includes policies on aviation, which focus mostly on Sustainable Aviation Fuels and technology. It does also recommend that “no net expansion of UK airport capacity unless the sector is on track to sufficiently outperform its net emissions trajectory and can accommodate the additional demand.” The full report can be found here:
