Merry Christmas from BAG!
In the last few weeks leading up to Christmas, BAG's Special Interest Groups and Regions have had their last meetings of the year, and the BAG Board held its traditional end of year meeting last Friday virtually, where Board members agreed BAG's Strategic Priorities for 2021 derived from the Board's Strategic Workshop. The BAG Board Working Groups will now pick up the production of related action plans in January 2021.
On behalf of BAG and the BAG Board we wish you all a wonderful Christmas after a challenging year and we look forward to collaborating with you in the New Year!



BAG Africa Deep Dive Workshop Session
Further to the last BAG Board and Business Intelligence Working Group meetings, we are progressing with our Deep Dive Sessions on International Markets and would like to invite you to a Deep Dive Workshop Session on Africa which BAG is hosting to produce an Africa Market Response document and discuss latest developments and upcoming projects. BAG Business Intelligence Update - Updated version now available!
At the BAG Board meeting on 25 March 2020 it was agreed for BAG to reassess its priorities due to COVID-19 and based on the new priorities, the Business Intelligence and Strategic Relationship Working Groups were asked by the BAG Board to try and collect as much intelligence as they can to gather on what is happening in the market, both now and how things change as we pass the peak of the current crisis and restrictions start to lift. The Board agreed to focus these discussions onto the following topics:

• What’s happening with the Airlines, how are they responding to their very significant challenges
• What’s happening at UK airports. We are hearing of capital plans being put back. When might some of those come back, in what form etc.
• What’s happening in the International markets, particularly in the priority markets we set for this year in discussion with DIT. Based on what we learn should we be resetting those priorities or focusing on other opportunities

Run the Runways with Ian Humphrey BAG Board Member
One initiative that Aviation action have put forward to its supporters is the ‘run the runways’
challenge. This involves running, walking or jogging the distance of some of the UK’s most iconic
runways throughout December. Instead of running one runway per day, Schneider Electric’s Airport
Segment Lead, Ian Humphrey, is challenging himself even further by running them back to back on
the 10th December, totalling 66.8km. Please read the full articlehere.
