Activities resumed in Congress this week as the Senate Appropriations Committee introduced its FY 2021 Transportation-Housing bill on Department of Transportation on Tuesday. The bill proposes $18 billion overall for FAA, including $3.35 billion for the Airport Improvement Program (AIP) funding plus an additional $400 million in discretionary airports grants. The House of Representatives passed it’s spending bill this past summer that also included $3.35 billion for AIP plus an additional $500 million in airport grants.
