Passenger Terminal Today - Dan Symods

Shanghai Airport Authority (SAA) has kicked off the fourth phase of expansion works at Shanghai Pudong International Airport in China.

The groundbreaking ceremony marked the beginning of 82 projects to be undertaken by SAA in the Pudong New Area of Shanghai city, with total investments valued at ¥317.6bn (US$50bn).

The fourth phase comprises six parts: a new terminal, flight zone, transportation facilities, engineering support facilities, an eastern cargo area and auxiliary facilities. Once completed, Pudong will be capable of handling 130 million passengers annually.
