Passenger traffic at Frankfurt Airport (FRA) continued its upward trend in June 2022, with some five million passengers passing through the German hub during the month.
The total represented a huge 181% increase on the corresponding month a year ago – the biggest monthly upturn since the start of the pandemic – and means that 20.8 million passengers (+220%) used the gateway in the first half of 2022.
However, compared to 2019, FRA’s passenger traffic was still down by 24% percent in June 2022 and 38% for the half year.
