A “game-changing” £50,000 grant has been awarded to community organisation TouchPoint Stansted.

It was named the beneficiary of the annual Stansted Airport Community Fund (SACF) award at a ceremony on Friday (January 12) attended by Uttlesford’s MP Kemi Badenoch, airport Managing Director Gareth Powell, TouchPoint founder Paul Chambers and his army of volunteers.

The grant is part of a £90,000 pot of donations pledged to a dozen local charities and community groups across Essex and Hertfordshire.

Touchpoint Stansted's successful application will help fund the renovation of the charity's aging building, Crafton Green House, so it can continue serving the community for decades to come.
