Indian authorities aren’t taking any chances with potential security threats in aviation.
On the morning of August 14th, an IndiGo domestic flight operating from Mangaluru International Airport (IXE) to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (BOM) in Mumbai was evacuated before takeoff following a bomb threat onboard. The threat was caused by a passenger reading another passenger’s WhatsApp conversation with another woman and alerting security officials after finding it suspicious.
