Portland Design has named two of its senior designers, Neil Isles and Graham Needham, as Associates. Neil and Graham have been part of the Portland Design team since 2012 and 2013 respectively and have fronted several high-profile commercial design projects for the company.

Neil has over 20 years’ experience in commercial masterplanning, airport and transport hub projects, while Graham has worked for retail architects and design consultancies for over 13 years.

At Portland, Neil draws upon a deep knowledge of and hands-on experience in commercial environments as he leads the strategic creation and development of projects worldwide. Graham is a central player in Portland’s Environments team, where he delivers future-ready, consumer-focussed solutions on large scale projects, as well as brand and digital strategies for a broad range of clients.

“The promotions of Neil and Graham will help us grow their respective teams and accelerate the mentoring and nurturing of our colleagues”, said Ibrahim Ibrahim, Portland’s Managing Director. “They will reinforce Portland’s position as thought leaders on the future of placemaking, consumerism and retail, helping our clients’ businesses to be ‘future ready’.

Ibrahim added: “To see both Neil and Graham blossom in their professions and personally is a joy that runs parallel to the growth of the business. I really appreciate their efforts, commitment and loyalty, and I trust that they will continue to gain fulfilment from their new roles as Associates.”

Neil and Graham said: “It is extremely rewarding to be part of, and progressing within, a company that has a great ethos towards people and projects. The wide variety of sectors that Portland works in, and the resulting client engagement, makes this a uniquely stimulating and creative role to be accepting. As such, we are delighted to be part of a successful future for Portland, delivering insightful and inspiring projects.”
