New starts and infrastructure have been brought in for the summer peak.
As with many of the airports in the UK, London's Heathrow Airport has been suffering from severe staff shortages, leading to increasingly frustrated passengers due to queuing chaos. However, the situation is set to be eased a little with the airport reopening its Terminal 4 on June 14th.
The scheduled reopening comes more than two years after it closed due to the pandemic. Heathrow's management has highlighted that it has used the closure period to focus on upgrading facilities within the terminal. This includes air conditioning, baggage handling, and toilets - all part of Heathrow's ramping-up plan.
