L&T Construction has been awarded the contract to build the Bhogapuram International Airport in Andhra Pradesh.
The agreement was signed between L&T Construction and the Andhra Pradesh Airports Development Corporation Limited (APADCL), with an estimated investment of around Rs 2,400 crore.
The Bhogapuram International Airport, located near Visakhapatnam, will be developed in two phases. Initially, the construction will focus on a terminal building along with a 3,600-meter runway. In the second phase, the airport will be expanded to accommodate an additional terminal building and runway. The project is expected to be completed within 36 months, and upon completion, it will be capable of handling 27 million passengers annually.
