The same construction company that developed the Canberra Airport has also been awarded the Newcastle Airport Terminal Upgrade contract.
Construction Control will be responsible for the $110 million enhancement to the Williamtown address, preparing the region for international travel by 2024.
The Newcastle Airport Terminal Expansion is expected to begin this month, with completion scheduled for mid-to-late 2024.
The project is anticipated to create more than 500 construction jobs throughout its life and will provide long-term benefits for the region.
