City Airport wants to create a “chilled” atmosphere, featuring muted colours, less background noise and better directions as part of a £500 million redesign.

The airport hopes that better interior design, and improved DLR and cycle connections to the terminal, will boost mental wellbeing. They will also try to cut delays and cancellations, overcrowding and anti-social behaviour.
