Change is afoot at Birmingham Airport and you have probably noticed a lot of things looking a bit different. The Solihull-based hub has become a construction site since work began on its new £40 million security hall.
The scheme will see a a "next generation" security facility built next year - and as a result, the airport has been pulled apart and reorganised dramatically in the past few months. Despite this there is no sign of let up on the travelling front - 45,000 passengers used on Monday August 7 in its "busiest day of the year so far."
