Belgrade’s Nikola Tesla Airport, which earlier this year completed the €2 million upgrade of its central terminal area, has begun the next phase of its infrastructure development programme.

The work includes the modernisation of Terminal 2, which will be carried out in phases, starting with the Arrivals area on the ground floor and at the first floor in the area in front of passport control.

VINCI Airports reveals that the modernisation and expansion of the terminal building includes the complete reconstruction of the interior to allow for additional check-in desks and more than 1,200sqm of space for new restaurants, bars and shops.

Furthermore, a new centralised security control zone will be created on the first floor to increase the efficiency of security operations and  ensure faster passenger flows.
