BAG Virtual Get Together- Chair's Update BAG Priorities 2021- Progress  Update*Recording & Presentation available*

For 2021 the BAG Board has reviewed the BAG Purpose and Vision which has been confirmed as Member Success - To increase aviation market share and reputation of BAG members across the UK and overseas as part of an inclusive and sustainable UK aviation sector. This translates into our 2021 BAG Priorities (Community, Strategic Partners, Export Opportunity, Innovation, Sustainability, Common Voice, Strong Foundations). The full BAG Strategic Framework has also been updated accordingly.
In the Virtual Get Together on the 6 May 2021, the BAG Chair Graham Bolton highlighted the progress made so far this year on BAG’s 2021 Priorities and outlined in detail a number of ongoing and planned activities. Please find the recording and presentation of the webinar
here.

BAG Review 2021

BAG launched their first online digital BAG Annual Review 2020 at the start of the year! Traditionally, BAG has produced a document showcasing activities over the course of the previous year which has been circulated at events and exhibitions. This year, we wanted to showcase BAG’s activities in a virtual and interactive way to highlight month by month what BAG has achieved, including key activities, webinars, Special Interest Groups and Regions, and how BAG has successfully engaged with its members throughout a challenging year.

For 2021, we will be updating the review throughout they year to keep you and our Strategic Partners informed of BAG's activities throughout the year. You can find the BAG Review 2021 here! If you have any questions or would like to give us some feedback please contact Hannah Sallabanks.

BAG Annual Dinner 2021 Update- *Save the date*
We are delighted to announce that the date we have reserved for what would traditionally be the BAG Annual Dinner in September will this year be held as a live BAG Networking Reception on Wednesday 29 September 2021 at The Brewery London.  As restrictions begin to lift and industry begins to recover, we wanted our main event of the year to be as inclusive as possible to all members and clients, and we have therefore chosen to host a Networking Reception rather than a classic sit-down black-tie event. Further details on the BAG 2021 Networking Reception will be made available in the coming months, but please save the date already now in your diaries!

DIT Export Survey- USA
BAG has been holding initial conversations with the Department for International Trade (DIT) re. the USA as a priority market. During this session, DIT has highlighted that they are preparing a dedicated survey on the USA, details of which you can find below. We would appreciate if you could support DIT with this request:

As part of our ongoing support for UK businesses who export (or wish to) the Department for International Trade (DIT) is asking if you would kindly complete a short survey about exporting to the United States of America.
The DIT is looking to gain a better understanding from UK airports sector businesses, what is the current state of engagement regarding exporting from the UK to the USA, i.e.,

  • Which businesses export?
  • What their experiences have been when exporting to the USA?
  • If no longer exporting to the USA, why is this?

The link takes you to the survey form: Export Survey - USA
DIT would be grateful if you could complete and return the survey by COP 28 May 2021.
If you have any questions, please contact; Nowell Toma (
