In the latest development at its largest hub, American Airlines has begun using biometric boarding for passengers on selected international flights departing from Terminal D at Dallas Fort Worth International.
Instead of scanning boarding passes, the new one-step facial recognition programme scans and verifies a passenger’s identity with the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) service in seconds at the gate.
