Sixteen firms have submitted bids for the civil construction work of the new integrated terminal building, cargo building, and ATC tower at Maharaja Agrasen International Airport in Hisar, Haryana. The Airports Authority of India (AAI) opened technical bids on Wednesday, revealing a diverse pool of bidders, including prominent entities like Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd., NCC Ltd., and Ahluwalia Contracts (India) Ltd.

The new terminal building, covering an expansive area of 37,970 sqm., has been meticulously designed to accommodate 1000 peak-hour passengers. It is set to feature 3 aerobridges initially, with provisions for 2 additional ones in the future, along with 4 baggage claim belts.

The AAI initiated the tender process for this civil construction contract in December 2023, estimating a cost of Rs. 503.71 crores and setting a completion deadline of 960 days (2.63 years).

The list of bidders includes a mix of well-established companies such as Deepak Buildings and Engineers India Ltd., Ramacivil India Construction Pvt. Ltd., and Sam India Builtwell Pvt. Ltd. However, Uttar Pradesh Rajkiya Nirman Nigam Ltd. faced disqualification due to issues related to the bank guarantee.
