VINCI Airports has officially announced completion of the expansion and modernisation of the Schengen departure area of Terminal 2 at Lisbon Airport (LIS).
Representing an investment of 12 million EUR; the latest phase of expansion was inaugurated in January. In total, 20 million EUR has been invested in Terminal 2 since 2020.
The project forms part of the wider UPGRADE plan, which is set to see over 300 million EUR worth of investments made into Lisbon Airport, resulting in the creation of a new departure area – Pier Sul – and the expansion of Terminal 1 with the addition of 33,000 square metres of space, 10 new boarding gates and a total redesign of the terminal’s central core.
