TradePort International Corporation (TradePort) has unveiled plans for a significant renovation of terminal facilities at John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport.
The development stems from a new 49-year management lease agreement between the City of Hamilton and TradePort, signed in September 2024.
Planned terminal enhancements:
- Updated exterior frontage with expanded canopies for improved curb operations
- Refreshed terminal interiors, including modernized check-in counters, passenger screening areas, gate seating, and baggage claim
- Architectural elements inspired by the region’s natural geography
- New digital signage and enhanced lighting to improve passenger experience
Plans also include future additions such as passenger jet bridges, a first for Hamilton International, and infrastructure upgrades to support increasing air traffic
