In 2025, over 80 US airports will have scheduled international passenger flights. These include Colorado Springs, Memphis, Oklahoma City, Providence, and Richmond. These airports already have or are building Federal Inspection Services Facilities (FIS) and other infrastructure. While Colorado Springs will have such service for the first time, the others will regain them—some after a long absence.
Colorado Springs's new FIS is due to open in June, and Southwest's brand-new route to Cancun will take off shortly thereafter. Of course, if there's any delay, the start of the time-limited Boeing 737-700-operated link will be pushed back.
