Statistics by the Home Office released on 27 August show that in July there were 1.2 million air arrivals in the UK whereas in June it was less than 200,000. July’s arrivals are 89% down from what they were in July 2019, where there were 11.1 million arrivals in the UK. It has to be noted that since then we have had quarantine measures reintroduced to popular tourism destinations such as France, Spain and Croatia.
